Belly Button

I don't ever want to forget that since Deakan was about one year old he has used his belly button as his comfort to fall asleep. Whenever he is tired he rubs his belly button. I put him in a onesie today and on our way home from the park he was super tired and unsnapped his onesie so that he could rub his belly button and fall asleep. Sometimes he does it when he's hurt or sad too. I wonder if he'll ever grow out of this habit? I sure hope not, it is such a unique little habit.

Strawberries

Deakan brought me a strawberry from the fridge today and asked me to take the "fur" off of it. I figured out that means the green leafs on the strawberries.

Kittens

Our cat "Scratch" had a litter of kittens a few days ago and when we showed Deakan the kittens he said, "look mom, meow meow had baby mice!" Yep honey baby kittens look alot like mice.

Cars?

Deakan loves his "Cars" characters. One night Deakan would not go to sleep after checking on him 3 hours after I put him to bed I found him in his play room with his clothes off playing with his cars. I told him he needed to go to bed and he said "my cars aren't gong to sleep." I said yes they are and you need to too. He then informed me that his cars were not sleeping because their eyes were still open. I told him that cars are different than us and that they can sleep with their eyes open. He thought about this for a moment and then said "oh cars are different because they don't have feet, leggs, pee pee's, and necks so they can sleep with their eyes open, not like us." I said yep you got it and now you can go to sleep!
